My favourite pants from Arc’Teryx for getting out into nature to photograph landscapes are these Gamma SL Hybrids. They are much like the Gamma LT version but I find them to be lighter and I just love the way the two tone design looks. Once again there are two zipped hand pockets and a zippered thigh/cargo pocket.
Wind, rain, and snow resistant as well as being breathable make these pants extremely handy in all kinds of environments. Water just beads right off the material and the corded zipper grabs make it easy to open and close the zips even with gloves on. The draw cords in the cuff of the pants acts as a build in gaiter for keeping rocks and pebbles out of your socks and shoes.
The Gamma SL pants are easy to wash and dry incredibly quickly which is perfect when you want to pack just a couple of pairs of pants for a trip and need to wash them often. These pants barely wrinkle at all Only caveat is the same as the Gamma LT pants; I’d like to see a bit more give in the waistband.
I like the look and feel of the material so much that I’m looking at getting a matching Gamma SL Hybrid hoody.
