This lightweight moisture wicking material that the Adventus series shirts are made of are ideal for the traveller like me for several reasons. The shirt is incredibly fast drying and that is really a big factor for me when I choose travel clothes. The faster my clothes dry, the more often I can wash them and the less I have to bring with me. As a professional photographer I already carry a lot of weight in terms of my equipment and the last thing I want to do is pack heavy cotton clothes to add extra kilos to my bags. Not only are these shirts lightweight but also amazingly wrinkle resistant. Personally, I have no time to iron my clothes on the road and I sure don’t want to pay the crazy hotel fees for pressing and washing clothes for me.You can wash the Adventus in the sink in 2 minutes and it dries in under an hour. The zipped pocket is perfect for people like me who are constantly losing tickets and other small important papers. I always have one of these shirts in my bag now. The Adventus comnes in both short and long sleeved versions.

How did it fit compared to other shirts that are similar? How was the function on the zipper and buttons? How does the material look like it will hold up being used? Is it super thin, or have a little weight to it? Didn’t get much info from your review.
Hi Eric,
Not sure about a comparison since I don’t have any other shirts like the unique Adventus. The buttons are actually snaps, and I prefer that. The zippered pocket is perfect for carrying some cash, credit card, and/or business cards and has a nice firm slide that won’t open up by itself. The material holds up extremely well. I’ve had the shirt for over a year now, and it shows little sign of wear. This is typical of Arc’Teryx gear.
I’d say that the material is relatively thin and very light, but it doesn’t breathe like cotton. So for very hot and humid days it may not be the ideal shirt. It is perfect for warm days, rainy days (since it dries fast), and cuts the wind quite nicely. I honestly always pack this shirt on all my trips other than Iceland or other cold weather destinations.
