The Traveling Image Makers
I had a ton of fun when I did my first podcast with The Traveling Image Makers when we talked about The Business Of Photography. Ugo Cei and I talked in depth about the realities of the business side of photography and I wanted to be frank about my perspective on things. I’m not often asked about the business side of travel photography so it was a refreshing take on the typical interviews I do.
“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
~ Winston Churchill
Ugo usually teams up with fellow travel photographer Ralph Velasco as a co-host on these podcasts and unfortunately, Ralph was out on the road doing what he does best during the taping of that podcast. The good news was that he was back in the saddle to co-pilot the second podcast I was asked to record for TTIM.

Safari Talk
This time, the subject was a topic that has recently become near and dear to my heart… wildlife photography on Safari in Tanzania! Oh, and we also chat about other travel photography related issues. My thanks to Ugo and Ralph for inviting me back on TTIM. Hope to do another episode sometime soon.
If you read my recent post on the subject “Tanzania Photo Safari – The Trip of a Lifetime“, this podcast will be a great companion piece to that article.
“The only man I envy is the man who has not yet been to Africa – for he has so much to look forward to.”
~ Richard Mullin
If any of this makes you long for your very own African Safari Adventure, might I suggest joining me in August & September when I host a very small group photo safari with Discovery Photo Tours.

Hope you enjoy the podcasts!

A happy discovery
And speaking of something that has nothing to do with the above safari related stuff…
I recently got an email from a printing and framing company called Bumblejax, who offered to give me a sample of their work. As in any case like this, I told them that I’d be 100% honest with the review and they agreed to do the work for me at no cost.

The Eiffel Tower at Dawn
Now I had never heard of Bumblejax before but that doesn’t mean much. There’s a lot of good companies that I’ve never heard of and it just so happens that they turned out to be one of the good ones. I love discovering new companies that do exceptional work.
I sent them a file of one of my favorite photos that I shot on a perfect sunrise in Paris and I was thrilled with the result. These guys absolutely nailed it in terms of attention to detail in every way such as prompt and thorough customer service, perfect packaging and shipping, and the most important thing of all, the exceptional print quality and impeccable framing and acrylic mounting they did.

People that know me, know full well that I’m insanely picky about this kind of thing but in all honesty, I can’t find anything wrong or bad to say about my experience with Bumblejax. I’m actually wishing I had at least one small negative to mention just to at least sound more objective but nothing comes to mind.
So it is without any hesitation whatsoever that I can recommend Bumblejax to you. They even offer you a discount code to save you 20% on your first order.
Just use the code BjaxKenK20 at checkout.
Thanks and shout out to my buddy Dutch Doscher for taking the photo of me!
