Ken, just curious, is this the new normal price ($149) or does this price have a time limit?
Thanks in advance.
Don
Hi KK,
Which of the two would you most recommend??? You probably can not publish your thoughts here!
I am a newbie to digital processing and already have a free version of Photo Effects 4 (probably not full version) and a paid version of Snapseed (another Nik product which is now unsupported by Google in its desktop version, since the big G bought Nik, but supported for smartphones/tablets).
Do the onOne or Nik Software products rely on the purchase and installation of PhotoShop or Lightroom?
The Nik suite looks very tempting at this price!
Cheers.
Don, That is the new standard price for the Nik Collection. The onOne is a limited time offer though.

Mark, Comparing the 2 suites is like comparing apples and oranges. For example I’m a huge fan of Focal Point by onOne and there is nothing that does that in the Nik Collection. On the other hand onOne makes no HDR, sharpening, or noise reduction software. It all depends on your needs. My honest recommendation is to download the free trials and see what you like best :D
Hi Ken,
Thanks for the tip off and the discount. I’ve wanted Nik Silver FXpro for a long time but could never quite justify the price, now I have that and a lot more for a really good price. Thanks. :-)
Ken,
Do the onOne or Nik Software products rely on the purchase and installation of PhotoShop or Lightroom? Are they plug-ins or standalone programs?
Thanks.
Kelvin, glad you’re enjoying the software. Silver Efex is awesome!

Mark, onOne is both a plug-in for Lightroom and Photoshop as well as a stand-alone product. The Nik collection works as a plug-in for Aperture, Lightroom and Photoshop. I do not now for sure id they still work as stand alone, so please verify with Nik/Google. I’ll be talking with them asap and will have an answer soon.
Incredible software it is (my favorite) – these are great plugins for photoshop, lightroom and even PS10 – great price
I REALLY LIKE YOUR WORK MAYBE YOU COULD GIVE SOME POINTERS
I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did,
the internet will be much more useful than ever before.

Fantastic blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
Any suggestions? Bless you!
