New Blog coming on Monday, October 25, 2010!
Please note that the url will change. The new site will be located at https://blog.kenkaminesky.com/
When you first lay your eyes on Lake Louise in Banff National Park, you will think that you’re dreaming. I know I’ll always remember that feeling of arriving at the lake at sunrise, there was a chill in the air and the lake was covered in fog. As the fog lifted, the scene was revealed to me like a grand unveiling. The milky green colour of the glacier fed water is a rarity and it took me back in my memories of Lake Tekapo in New Zealand. I can’t believe that it took me so long to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks, sometimes you have to stay home to see some of the best sights in the world. With a country as vast as Canada it’s no wonder that we have as much natural beauty to enjoy and share with the rest of the world. Of course I’m a bit biased, but I have to say that if you have not been to Canada, then you’re missing out on some amazing sights, incredible experiences, and wonderful people. So what are you waiting for? :^)
This is a scene that makes me want to return to Lake Louise and take some “me” time to relax. It seems that I can’t be in such a beautiful place and not take photos, but I’d try very hard to make the time for one of these tranquil canoe treks. If I can feel this relaxed just looking at a photo of people canoeing, then I can only imagine how peaceful it must be to glide along the translucent waters of Lake Louise. Next time!
Today’s blog post is the last one. Well, the last one until Monday’s launch of the brand new redesigned blog! After working for over 2 months with my web designer Nikola Lazarevic, the project is now complete. I have really enjoyed sharing some anecdotes and photos here on this blog with you, thanks for taking the time to visit! I plan on expanding the features on the new blog as the months go by, so keep coming back to check out some fun new photography and peruse all the latest offerings. The newest feature at the initial release on Monday, October 25 will be a select amount of my photographs available as limited edition prints. These high quality photographic prints will be printed on either artist grade canvas or brushed aluminum and they look spectacular on both media.
I’m feeling a little melancholy knowing that this is the last time I’ll be posting on this blog design. It has been a lot of fun, but now it’s time to say goodbye to an old friend and hello to a new one. I hope that you’ll join me on Monday, when I publish my first post on the new blog. I am looking forward to your comments and suggestions. The website will be constantly evolving and I’d like to make your visits here as welcoming and interesting as possible, so I welcome any and all feedback.
The last couple of years have been quite a roller coaster ride, both personally and professionally. I’ve worked hard to be able to get to this point and I feel fortunate to have seen and photographed some wonderful and awe inspiring places. My dream is to continue to do so in the future and share those images with you. So it’s appropriate to end this chapter with one of my favourite quotes:
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt

Hi Ken,
Well since I am new to your blog, I am really sad to see it go! But I’m sure you’re new one will be even better, although that is hard to imagine :) I’ve really been enjoying your posts and stunning photos, like this one of Banff. I haven’t been there in probably 20 years. And I live in Victoria! Looking forward to your new blog on Monday.
