I love Minis, in just about all their incarnations. So much so that I ended up buying one myself a few years ago! This classic Mini Cooper was in fantastic shape and so well maintained that it deserved to have it’s portrait taken. As I saw this cute car I got a bit homesick and wished that I could have my car with me in Italy, but after seeing how they drive in Italy I was quite happy knowing that my car was safe at home. The older Minis went through so many changes it’s near impossible to keep track of the different models. On top of that people have modified Minis into trucks, vans, limousines and submarines. Ok, maybe not submarines but I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true.
The original Minis were manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) in places such as Chile, Australia, South Africa, Yugoslavia and of course England. Today BMW builds the new Minis in 3 models. The Mini Cooper, Mini Clubman and Mini Convertible. This summer they are launching the first Mini 4 wheel drive SUV called the Countryman and from what I’ve seen it looks like another winner. Back in 1999 the Mini was voted into second place in a prestigious competition titled the Car of the Century (COTC). The obvious first place winner was the Ford Model T.
Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go wash my car :^)

Have to agree with driving in Italy, yikes! But anyways, your images are gorgeous!
These cars just have so many unmistakable characteristics that set them apart for all other cars. Love the full frontal shot and your post processing. You have some fantastic images in your portfolio. Well done!
