General Questions
Q: Can I get a print of one of your photos that isn’t in the Available Print Gallery?
A: Not immediately and in some cases not at all. I take all requests into consideration and every Monday I will announce a new photograph to add to the collection of available prints. In some cases for legal, copyright or other reasons I am not able to offer an image for sale in this way. If there is a photo in particular that you would like, please contact me via email and I’ll let you know if and when it will be available. I do my best to make available requested images soon after the request is made.
Q: How do I place an order?
A: Contact me by clicking the e-mail envelope link in the sidebar menu, the contact form on the blog, or directly at info[at]kenkaminesky.com. I will follow up with you by email to give you details on shipping. Once all the details have been worked out I will send you a confirmation email where you can pay for the print via my secure PayPal page. DO NOT send me your credit card information via email for your own security. Please include your shipping address in the email so that I may look into the best delivery options available for you.
Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: Most orders take between 5 and 7 days to process and print. Shipping times may vary depending on the delivery method and your location. All efforts are made to have the photographs printed and shipped as quickly as possible but they are all printed to exacting specifications to ensure colour fidelity and top notch craftsmanship. On the occasions when I am traveling and unable to process your order immediately the order will be fulfilled immediately upon my return. I will notify you by email if at all possible of any such delays
Q: What if there’s a mistake in my order?
A: If you think your order wasn’t properly submitted, or if an error was made, contact me immediately and I will attempt to correct the order ASAP.
Q: Do you offer prints on photo paper?
A: Not at this time and with no plans to do so in the immediate future. When you see the amazing quality of the prints on canvas and brushed aluminum you will understand why!

Giclée Prints on Artist Grade Canvas
Q: What kind of canvas do you use?
The Eco-Solvent canvas is a semi-gloss surface that allows for vibrant colors and rich blacks. It is a heavyweight, artist grade cotton blend canvas.
Q: What is the durability of the process?
A: The canvas prints are “giclée” prints which are very high quality, fine detail prints made with archival inks so they will last over 75 years before showing any signs of fading or discolouring. All inks are Epson brand. Because of the new eco-solvent inks that automatically seal there is no additional coating.
Q: What stretching options are offered?
A: I offer two different stretching options for your canvas. Gallery Wrapped products arrive ready to hang with the image wrapped around the thick wooden stretcher bar – for a clean, modern look. If you plan on doing your own stretching and framing, select a “non-stretched” print.
Q: What is a gallery wrap?
A: A gallery wrap where canvas is stretched around the sides of the stretcher bars making up the inner frame. The photographs are image wrapped creating a mirrored image to wrap around the edges.
Q: How are canvas prints packaged?
A: The boxes that the canvas prints are shipped in were specifically designed to protect your canvas while in shipping. Canvases come in a plastic bag to keep out moisture and are held securely in the centre of the box. Non-stretched canvases are bagged and shipped rolled in a tube.
Q: Will my finished canvas look like the image on my computer monitor?
A: My printer and I pride ourselves on the highest degree of image accuracy. In most cases, your computer monitor does not display the true colours of the image. Using industry-best colour management tools, your canvas will be a much higher quality, and will more closely match the true colours of a digital photo, than what may appear on your screen.
Q: Can you ship the canvas prints internationally?
A: Yes, for orders outside of Canada and the United States I recommend that you order the canvas prints unmounted and get them mounted at a framing shop near your home. Otherwise the shipping costs would be greatly increased. Please contact me for a shipping quote. Customs fees, local taxes and duty are all the responsibility of the purchaser. I do not mark up the shipping prices, what you pay is what I pay. It’s a promise.
Brushed Aluminum Super High Gloss Prints
Q: What is the quality of the reproduction?
A: The quality of the reproduction is in a league of it’s own. A fine quality Giclée can not really be compared to the printing on aluminum process.
The light brushing of the aluminum can be seen through the sheer high gloss coating creating an almost 3D look to the photographs. This finish bounces light off the aluminum behind the image and enhances colours in a way you have never seen.
Q: What is the durability of the process?
A: The coatings and materials have been engineered to provide a long life for the image. Image life is typically 50 years or more. You should treat your Aluminum photograph in the same way you would a Giclée. Indirect sunlight is fine, but the materials are not designed for direct sunlight or outdoor use. The Aluminum metal prints are scratch resistant and will not be damaged by exposure to water.
Q: How do I clean the product?
A: You should use a microfiber towel for the best results along with Isopropyl alcohol or Maguiar’s Cleaner Wax.
Q: How do I hang my Aluminum metal print?
A: Framed Aluminum metal prints can be hung by one of two methods. One is by the wire that is attached to the anodized aluminum frame. The second method is by the security mount system, that can be provided upon request, which locks the image onto the wall via brackets on the top and locking bolts along the bottom of the Aluminum metal print. The prints are much lighter than most people think and no more difficult to hang than the gallery wrapped canvas prints.
Q: How are aluminum prints packaged?
A: In a sturdy wooden crate, wrapped in a polyethylene foam with corners to suspend the piece in the crate to keep it safe from any possible damage.
Q: Can you ship the aluminum prints internationally?
A: Depending on your location there are different options. Please contact me directly to see what the best solution for you will be. I do not mark up the shipping prices, what you pay is what I pay. It’s a promise. Customs fees, local taxes and duty are all the responsibility of the purchaser.
