The Roman Colosseum originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre (Amphitheatrum Flavium) was built from 70 AD to around 80 AD. It’s rather incredible that it has survived these last two thousand years considering all the wars, earthquakes, looters and stone thieves that it has had to endure. It must… View full post » March 5, 2010 posted in Paristags: Arche de la Défense, Architecture, Axe historique, Building, Business, Canon 1DS mk3, Clouds, France, Fraternité, Grande Arche, HDR, Hypercube, Johann Otto von Spreckelsen, la Défense, Modern, Paris, Photo, Photograph, Tesseract, Travel La Grande Arche de la Défense or simply La Grande Arche is just one of the many beautiful modern buildings that make up the la Défense business district in western Paris. Where’s the ‘like’ button?? Fantastic picture!
The bluish and orange glow makes the place come alive.
@ Sue -Better than one “like” button I have several! All those little pop up buttons are even better than a “like” button. They allow you to share the images via Facebook, Twitter or any of the other services that you may subscribe to. I’m always grateful when someone likes an image enough to want to pass it on to friends. There is also that little Photoblog Awards button at the footer of the blog where you can vote for mine. Glad you liked the shot, thanks for the nice comment :^)
